Health and Wellness Fair

The Health and Wellness Fair provides an opportunity for attendees to familiarize themselves with welcoming healthcare providers and social services. In Bend, a great majority of immigrants are part of the local Latino community, and this health fair will emphasize how we are welcoming and inclusive of our Latino community members, as well as immigrants and newcomers from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Over 35 organizations will help increase community members’ awareness of where to receive medical services, mental health services, and social services addressing social determinants of health (SDoH).

We will offer two group Zumba classes facilitated in Spanish, free nutritious food and drinks, and more fun health-education activities for children and families, as well as on-site expedited WIC appointments, basic health screenings such as blood pressure checks, emergency dental care, flouride treatments for children, as well as language and speech screenings. Education related to dental care, hypertension, diabetes, strokes, mental health, and more. We will also provide on-site interpretation services in multiple languages for any community member in need.
