Welcoming Week Greater Sudbury 2024

In commemoration of the 2024 Welcoming Week, the Sudbury Local Immigration Partnership is hosting a virtual session on Racism, Discrimination, and Human Rights in the Workplace in collaboration with the Sudbury Workers Education and Advocacy Centre to provide the opportunity for newcomers to understand their rights in the workplace, legal frameworks for their protection, systemic racism, tips to address workplace harassment, and provide relevant resources and guides.

This event offers several benefits to newcomers including creating awareness about newcomers’ rights and protections, empowering them to address discrimination, promoting inclusion and belonging, supporting workplace cultural adaptation, encouraging dialogue on workplace equity and providing access to resources and support systems.
